Reflections on presentations at final class.

I would like to congratulate everyone on their presentations. I found that the quality of the products were high and I can see that learning took place during the course. I am proud to be a member of this class.

Several improvements in technology were highlighted and I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised.

  • The quality of work done by nine year olds was amazing and I give credit goes to the teacher. You have encouraged and facilitated your kids to perform at level that parallels professionals in film industry. I can honestly say that their abilities are superior to mine. They have a bright future and so do you.
  • The quality of video and audio recordings from cellphones have also improved dramatically. This makes a strong case for cellphones to be used in schools to enhance teaching and learning. What model cellphone did you use? Hey, those boys also have bright futures in entertainment.
  • The use of text reading technology can be used to enhance the experience of visually impared students in classrooms. Its use will increase as the technology improves. This is one of my areas of interest. I am also interested in type 2 integration of technology in teaching and learning which I tried to bring out in my presentation.

I am sure that each of us would continue to integrate technology into the curriculum and develop as professionals.
